Derek Johnson was fatally killed in the line of duty in Draper, Utah on September 1, 2013. He was pronounced dead shortly after being flown to Intermountain Medical Center, leaving a wife, child, other family members and a grief-stricken law enforcement community in search of comfort and answers.
