wishes we make happen

When treatment takes over, joy shouldn’t be on hold

Malakai — Back-to-School Shopping Spree

Living with brittle bone disease means Malakai has to sit out a lot. During a visit to Salt Lake, we treated him to a joyful mall shopping spree so he could choose new school clothes himself. He left grinning—and he’s super excited to start school.

Kyler — Birthday Pool Party

Kyler, who lives with a lifelong, life-limiting condition, dreamed of a pool party for his birthday. The Marriott in Sandy donated a room, and our volunteers transformed it with decorations and all of his favorite treats. We added a gift card so the family could enjoy dinner together after the fun. A joyful, low-stress celebration—exactly what he wished for.

Lemonade for Kenzie

In honor of their sister Makenzie (“Kenzie”), who went to heaven in 2020 while waiting for a heart and kidney transplant, the family hosted a kids’ lemonade stand on September 10, 2025. We supported the event, and proceeds benefited DonorConnect and the Children in the Earth Families group—sharing Kenzie’s light and increasing organ-donation awareness.

Hearts & Gifts (February)

In February, we surround families with care by “heart attacking” their doors: cheerful paper hearts, notes, and gift bundles that bring smiles and support right to their doorstep.
